Follow these guidelines to ensure success as a Hitch driver.
Use the App Correctly
- Always mark riders as picked up at the pickup location and dropped off at the drop-off location to get paid.
- Use Hitch navigation to ensure location tracking. Lack of tracking may remove you from the ride.
- Contact support immediately if there are technical issues.
Follow Approved Ride Details
- Only transport riders to the locations listed in the booking.
- Hitch is a point A to B service. No errands, unscheduled stops, or detours, except for brief bathroom breaks.
Stay in Contact
- Respond to Hitch support promptly during rides. Lack of communication may lead to removal from the ride. Always inform support of delays, issues, or changes.
- If you are a Spanish-speaking driver, please use tools like Google Translate when needed to ensure clear communication and provide a better experience for riders.
Arrive On Time
- Be at the pickup location 10 minutes early.
- Late arrivals or delays without notice may lead to penalties.
Shared Ride Policy
- Middle seats are never sold. Riders are seated comfortably in shared or private rides.
Treat Everyone with Respect
- Be courteous and respectful to passengers at all times.
Follow Laws and Safety Standards
- Wear seat belts, drive safely, and follow traffic laws.
