You can use a rental vehicle for your Hitch drives, but you must meet these requirements:

1. Submit Required Documents

   Provide the following to add the rental vehicle to your profile:

   • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
   • License Plate Number with Expiration Date
   • Valid Insurance
   • Valid Driver's License View full requirements here.

2. Have Comprehensive Insurance

   • Your insurance must cover rental cars and include all required addendums.
   • Coverage can come from your personal plan or one purchased through the rental company.

Important Notes:

• Partnerships between rental companies and other rideshare platforms don’t apply to Hitch.
• We do not recommend being “self-insured” as this could leave you without coverage in case of an accident.
• Lack of proper insurance may result in personal liability.
